artefact is an architecture and design studio established in Mexico City by London-trained architects Ricardo Lopez-Rivas and Toby Hart.
The studio understands architecture in its full variety of scales, from working in the fields of furniture, product design and interiors, to architecture and urbanism.
Collection DF is a contemporary range of hand-made furniture inspired by the vibrant setting of Mexico City and defined by the exceptional quality and rich contrast of solid Tzalam inlaid with pure Corian surfaces.
Designed and built with durability in mind, each piece is specially made by skilled craftsmen in Mexico City ́s Distrito Federal, combining both modern and traditional manufacturing techniques.
This will be the first opportunity to view the collection in New York, where we will be exhibiting alongside guest photographer and graphic artist Teresa Campe.
